Welcome to your church
The church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Nutfield, is a welcoming, open and inclusive church; it has been welcoming people for over 1200 years.
Whether you are planning to visit us, looking to get involved in the church community on a regular basis, or are enquiring about becoming part of the church for a special event, such as a wedding or a baptism, our website should give you all that you need to know.
It is a joy to offer traditional choral worship encompassing the services contained within Book of Common Prayer. Equally, we offer contemporary services with our families and for baptism. Therefore, there is something here for everyone.
We have strong links with Nutfield Primary (CofE) Primary School. I connect with what we offer to children in church through Saturday Connections and Family Matins with my ministry in school as a Governor and through leading Collective Worship.
Most week I write a thought for the week. Click here to read the latest muse.

We hope our website give you a flavour of the parish of St Peter & St Paul, Nutfield. Nutfield Church is part of a united benefice with St Mary the Virgin, Bletchingley. We are an inclusive, welcoming, relaxed and traditional beautiful church with worship based upon the Book of Common Prayer and are a member of the Prayer Book Society. Our traditional forms of service commend themselves to a wide range of people of all ages within the village of Nutfield as well as from the surrounding areas. Our less formal acts of worship are also appreciated by a growing number of young families. We strive to do all to the true glory of God and to make it a worthy offering - whether it is music or words. We actively support many charities: Children's society, Welcare, Women's refuge, British Legion, Cuthaids Orphanage, Crawley Open House and the Bishop's Lent Appeal. As a charity ourselves we also work hard actively fundraising to ensure we protect and preserve the history and beauty of our Church, which is a huge and expensive task. A website can only give you a glimpse of parish life but we hope it will whet your appetite to find out more about us by coming to join us on a Sunday or at one of our recitals and concerts. Everyone living in the Parish is entitled to be christened, married, and to have a funeral in the church. Please do get in touch if you would like to be visited or if there is anyone you would like prayed for. This could be at our daily prayer times during the week and/or during the intercessions at our Sunday services. |
